Marie grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She moved to Chicago to study music and art history, and received her BA from DePaul University in History of Art and Architecture.
Marie has managed a range of work that includes editorial concept development, website concept development, multi-brand fashion collaborations, seasonal marketing campaigns, social content creation, promotional campaigns, and technical software product updates. She specializes in moving creative, innovative projects through concept development, reviews and approvals, launch, and analysis. She is a highly collaborative and thoughtful PM and leader, highly skilled in managing ambiguity, driving results, and fostering an inclusive environment.
She founded and wrote the lifestyle blog So What If I Like Pretty Things from 2009 - 2020. Prior to this, her years studying music and art, and working for writing and literacy-focused educational organizations made her passionate about creative storytelling, seeking beauty, building community, and nurturing curiosity.
Marie has also moonlighted as a photographer and freelance writer. She occasionally showcases as a professional violinist, most recently performing with Smokey Robinson at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, California.
In her spare time, you will find her digging through vintage shops, perfecting a cocktail at her apartment, somewhere on the 5 between the Bay Area and LA, or reading in sweatpants.
